Combining both professional guidance and dynamic insight, the powerHouse Portfolio Review has been educating and inspiring up-and-coming photography professionals for nearly a decade. Now in its eleventh year, powerHouse Books is proud to continue offering its renowned workshop consultation sessions. The next powerHouse Portfolio Review will take place on March 1, 2015 and registration is now open.

Each attendee will receive five personal one-on-one portfolio review sessions; each with a different photography expert. Featuring magazine editors, professional photographers, publishers, artists, agents, gallerists, book packagers, and more, the diverse pool of reviewers is equipped to advise and guide a myriad of different styles, aesthetics, backgrounds, and intents. Each review session lasts for 20 minutes. Applications are open on a first come, first served basis, and will be closed at around 100 photographers. Again, these slots are extremely limited, so early application is highly encouraged. Register now!

Presentation is vital to a photographer. This includes editing, sequencing, writing a personal reflection, design layout and final presentation. These are essentials to the success of your project—whether it is a photo essay, portfolio, multimedia, book or exhibition. In addition, it is becoming crucial for photographers to learn how to create an online presence.

This 2-day intensive workshop aims to pair two photographers with a guest editor through one-on-one and group sessions focused on the editing, sequencing, and/or layout of a project. The guest editor will share his or her knowledge and experience with the photographer to further their work.

 2 photographers per session
MATERIALS:
 One or two bodies of work consisting of at least 200 images (each), printed 5×7; and, a laptop and hard drive, if needed.
LOCATION: 
Stowe Mountain Lodge in Stowe, Vermont.
ACCOMMODATIONS: 
Each photographer will have a private bedroom with full bathroom. We encourage participants to bring tennis shoes, hiking boots, bathing suite, road bike, mountain bike, tennis rackets and any other outdoor gear.

FotoVisura co-founder, Adriana Teresa interviews Host Pili Montilla for the Huffington Post:

A graduate from Boston College, Pili Montilla is an entertainment reporter and producer. Pili has interviewed renown celebrities, including Sandra Bullock, Ricky Martin, Gwen Stefani, Daddy Yankee, Calle 13, Sofia Vergara and Shakira. Additionally, she has worked as entertainment correspondent and producer for Univision's highest-rated show,Primer Impacto, and segment producer for the national, syndicated show American Latino. She worked at Univision News/ABC Newsand LATV before producing Té Para Trés.

Té Para Tres con Pili Montilla is a three-time Emmy-nominated music show co-produced by Vida Lexus that takes you into the lives of the most talented, hard-working, up-and-coming, alternative Latino musicians today. The show is directed by two-time Emmy-winning director Juan Agustín Márquez, who has also partnered up with Pili Montilla to create a new production company, Té Para Tres Studios.
